Woohoo it’s Fair Time, Stafford: Wednesday, July 14 through Saturday, July 17 Stafford County Fair. These folks have put together a full shebang this year: 4H exhibits including livestock, horticulture, woodworking, rocketry, entomology, electricity, engines; how about the Dog Club fun show, the ice cream social, the silent auction; and don’t forget the arts and crafts, the barbecue, the watermelon feed; bungee mania and the much loved, often imitated but not quite ever duplicated Kiddie Tractor Pull. Did we mention Blake Shelton tickets will be raffled off as well as Foreigner tickets? And the parade? Oh my, get out your silliest get-ups, your lawnmowers, horses, boats on wheels or whatever you have that will make us laugh and enter the parade. It’s fun and it’s free and you can win money. Real money! The parade is on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. so be there by 11:30 to register and line up.
BBQ and YOU, St. John: Saturday, July 17 from 11 am to 1 pm. at Kenwood Plaza - get out and enjoy their first “Family and Friends BBQ”. Great food for a freewill donation and great company as you share delicious BBQ with the terrific folks and fun staff. All proceeds will be going toward their Christmas decorations and celebrations and really, who doesn’t love Christmas? Get your appetite ready and go!
