  • Aunt Susie’s Gourmet Kettle Corn has opened a retail store on the east side of St. John’s city square.
    The grand opening was on Nov. 1, attending the ribbon cutting were a group of St. John businesspeople including Hayden Welda, Stafford County Economic Development; Don Hildebrand, American State Bank; Helen Gee, Aunt Susie’s Gourmet Kettle Corn; Carol Siefkes, Aunt Susie’s Gourmet Kettle Corn; Marisa Mansel, St. John National Bank; Amy McVey, Central Kansas Land Title; and Carolyn Dunn, Stafford County Economic Development.
    Store hours are M-Th 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and in addition to popcorn the store carries a selection of gourmet food items and Kansas-made items. Friday and Saturday will be open depending on when they are popping corn with their mobile kitchen at a fair, festival, or fundraiser.
