Macksville schools had a "dynamic" assembly Monday, thanks to Macksville's Booster Club recruitment of guest speakers Collin Klein and wife Shalin .
K-State star quarterback and Heisman trophy finalist, Klein and his wife Shalin Spani Klein, were at Macksville schools from 1-3 p.m. sharing some secrets of their successes with the student body.
"It was a great experience for our kids," said Macksville Principal, Toby Conrad. "Collin and Shalin kept everyone from first through 12th grades captivated while they delivered their message to our kids."
The dynamic duo talked about living life right and prioritizing everything in life. Priorities for Collin and Shalin include, putting God first, family second, and football or whatever else one has in their life, behind those first two.
Shalin played basketball for four years at K-State, while Collin was K State's starting quarterback the last three years and was a Heisman finalist last season.
The two K-State stars signed autographs for everyone after the assembly for about an hour according to Conrad.
