Yellow crime scene tape cordoned off several blocks in the small town of Hudson, Thursday, as Stafford County officers, Kansas Bureau of Investigations, and local law enforcement agencies invested the scene of domestic dispute that escaladed into a stabbing.
38-year-old Jon Richardson, Hudson, was taken by ambulance to Stafford County Hospital, where here he was later airlifted to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Stafford County dispatchers received a call at approximately 6:30 p.m., Thursday reporting a possible stabbing. The caller said the victim was at 206 N. Main, but it is believed the stabbing occurred at a different address on Church Street.
Richardson went to 207 N Church for assistance, but no one was home so he went to 206 N. Main.
37-year-old Pamela Pratt was arrested in Hudson in connection to the alleged assault. Pratt was arrested for attempted murder, aggravated battery and contempt of court. Representatives of Via Christi refused to comment on Richardson’s condition Friday afternoon.
A member of the St. John police department, who assisted with the investigation along with the Stafford City police department, said that Richardson received four or five slashing wounds from a box-cutter type of knife.
Formal charges against Pratt have not yet been filed.
