Ladies and Gentlemen - Start your engines! -  Great Bend:  Friday, March 19 is the SRCA Test & Tune and Gambler’s event and Saturday, March  20 is the  SRCA Drag Race - Points Race #1 of the season. Located at 9951 B-29 Way - expo grounds - if you’ve never seen racing like this - you gotta come out. This can be everything from high dollar stuff, to street stuff, to motorcycles on the drag strip and every age group imaginable.  SRCA is sanctioned by the NHRA and as their motto says, “Drag on the Strip - not on the Street”.  For more info, visit http://www.srcadragstrip.com or call 620-792-5079 .

Gun Show, Hutchinson:   Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  G&S Guns presents their springtime show and sale at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.  Come one, come all and get yourself set up for hunting or protection.

Glass negatives workshop, Stafford:  Saturday, March 20, 10 a.m. t 4 p.m., the Stafford County Museum will host a glass negatives work day and volunteers are invited to drop in to help clean and catalog the negatives at the museum library at 100 N. Main Street in Stafford. Nervous you’ll not know what to do?  Don’t worry - experienced volunteers will be on hand to get you going.  For more info call 620-234-5664.

Easter Egg Hunt, Macksville:    Saturday, March 27, 3:30 p.m. in Macksville.  The Kayettes are hosting this fun annual event which will be held in the park.  If the weather turns for the worse, no problem as the hunt will be moved indoors into the high school gym.  0-12 years of age are invited to come out, hunt eggs and have a great afternoon!
