Stafford County Farm Bureau has approximately 850 members.
Galactic Blast Back to School, St. John: Sunday, August 22, 6 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 807 E 1st Ave. A Get out and enjoy a light supper and some family fun and fellowship while doing something for others (and yourself!). This is a community outreach for children in foster care at Youthville, one of the largest nonprofit, child welfare agencies in Kansas sponsored by the United Methodist Church. Plans are to decorate and fill 60 school bags to be delivered to the Dodge City Campus of Youthville. Bring extra school supplies if you can but is not a requirement. Your help can make a difference in the lives of others - and in your own!
Are ya feeling lucky?, St. John: Thursday, August 26, you’re heading to Dodge City, baby - the midwest equivalent of Vegas. Sort of. Bus is leaving the Witt Center at 8 a.m. and returning at 4 p.m. The restaurant there has some of the yummiest soup west of this county if you get hungry. It’s SOCCER time in St. John: Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. is the absolute final deadline to get onboard with the Fall Soccer 4 on 4 League. For girls and boys ages 3 through grade 6, the games will be played in Stafford, Sylvia, Macksville and at Cornwell Park in St. John with the first game Sept. 18. Stop by the SJRC office at the Witt Center and get yourself ready for some soccer!
