“I wanted to spend my last day at Kenwood celebrating with everyone”, said Gabby Williamson, staff member of Kenwood Plaza, a residential assisted living complex in St. John.

And that she did as she along with the  residents of Kenwood Plaza were seen cruising across Hwy 50 in a trolley with Jeff Williamson, Gabby’s dad, at the helm.

Gabby decided to celebrate her last day of work before returning to school with an outing and the trolley ride was the perfect thing to do.

The timing of the weather couldn’t have been better as the day dawned cool and misty so it was comfortable making a trip to the Short Stop where the residents were treated to free coffees and cappucinos. They also enjoyed a variety of delicious treats and desserts.

After re-boarding for the return trip home, the residents were again seen cruising St. John as the trolley rambled up Fourth Street, past the library, past the Square and all around the town before heading back down to First Street and Kenwood Plaza.

“Thank you all and for the free treats at the Short Stop”, said resident Mae Steckman. “It was a good outing and we all enjoyed it!”
