Macksville middle school girls leaned basic basketball techniques at a summer camp in Macksville.

A basketball clinic summer camp was recently given to middle school age girls in the Macksville High School’s gym Saturday, June 17.

The camp, headed by Shalin Klein, a well-known basketball clinician from Manhattan, was assisted by Chad Friess with Kansas Elevate Basketball LLC., and Kelby Adams, Mackville’s Junior High girls coach.

The day-long clinic helped 18 girls learn how to improve their skills, and at the same time having fun in doing so. Coach Friess brought down ten of his Great Bend Junior High players (each wearing the white jersey), and the gals in the red jersey coming from Macksville.

Kline's husband is an assistant coach for the K-State Wildcats football team.
