The Hot Summer Nights community activity has been a hit in St. John.
It was a Hot Summer Night but area residents gathered downtown in St. John in the city square to have some fun and food on Friday, Aug. 18.
About 75 gathered to enjoy free food, including lots of watermelon, and inflatables for the children. Hot Summer Nights is held once a month over the three months of summer and is a popular event in the community.
Coordinator Ray Davidson said he and coordinator Mark Bryant were very pleased with this years events and thanked Trish Coleman, Frank Farms and Bob's Haulings for their financial support and Mike and Jill Stimatze for the watermelons.
