A St. John woman, 75-year-old Mary Curtis, was injured in vehicle vs. deer accident on U.S. 281 about 14 miles north of Pratt on Nov. 16.
A St. John woman was injured in a deer vs vehicle accident Nov. 16 in north Pratt County.
Mary Curtis, 75 of St. John, was southbound on North U.S. 281 about 14 miles north of Pratt in a 2005 Toyota Avalon when she struck a deer, lost control and hit a legally parked 2008 Lincoln Mark LT that had previously hit the deer, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol on-line crash logs.
The Lincoln was unoccupied at the time of the collision. Curtis, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, was transported, by a privately owned vehicle, to Pratt Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released. The accident was reported at 6 p.m.
