“We took a big early lead against Fowler and really controlled the game from the start” said Macksville’s head coach Jeff Kuckelman. “We did a really good job of rebounding and holding them to one shot per possession. Several different people scored and stepped up into roles that we needed them to. We just tried to concentrate on our team getting better and doing the things we needed to.”
“We played well right at the start then we kind of got in a lull and didn't play to our capabilities” said Kuckelman. “Kinsley kept playing hard and responded to our early run. We came out after half and got after it on defense and executed on offense and took control of the game. We are still working on trying to put together a complete game as we go forward through the season.”
The Mustangs play Otis-Bison at Otis on Tuesday (score not available at press time), and go up against the St. John Tigers at home on Friday.
