• 7:17 p.m. Friday, 800 block of Kansas Avenue, Lane, Rachel Manns, 27, Paola, on suspicion of domestic battery after an altercation with a known individual.

• 12:37 p.m. Friday, 900 block of East Ninth Street, Christopher Phillips, 33, Gardner, on suspicion of multiple violations of a protection from abuse order.

• 3:16 p.m. Friday, 600 block of East Wilson Street, Paul Hughes, 30, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 9:45 p.m. Friday, South Beach Cove, 1608 S. Main St., William Maher, 44, Kansas City, Kansas, on suspicion of battering a 53-year-old Ottawa man.

• 11:16 a.m. Saturday, 800 block of North Poplar Street, Douglas Emperley, 45, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 5 p.m. Saturday, 2600 block of I-35, Freddy Hernandez, 19, Emporia, on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license or insurance.

• 2:32 a.m. Sunday, 200 block of South Main Street, Stacey Anderson, 22, Williamsburg, on suspicion of driving under the influence, after being contacted on a traffic stop.

• Sunday, Ottawa, Anthony Underwood, 30, Ottawa, was arrested in connection with a string of thefts in which items were stolen from vehicles parked in the 600 and 700 blocks of South Elm Street and in the 700 and 800 blocks of South Locust Street, according to police reports. The six theft cases, reported between 7:36 a.m. and 8:12 p.m. Sunday, remain under investigation, according to the reports.

Thefts

• 10 p.m. Saturday, 2700 block of Maple Terrace, a 53-year-old Ottawa man reported his 1997 GMC Yukon was stolen by his 16-year-old son who ran away from home. A report for felony theft and child in need of care was taken. The vehicle was valued at $3,000.

• 9:44 a.m. Sunday, 3200 block of Colorado Road, Pomona, a 31-year-old Leawood man reported the theft of two game cameras on a property leased for hunting. Estimated loss was $200.

Accidents

• 9 a.m. Friday, 2800 block of Vermont Road, a 2008 Saturn Aura driven by Joseph Santoyo, 47, Rantoul, was southbound on Vermont Road when it struck a raccoon.

• 3:07 p.m. Friday, K-68 and Nebraska Road, a vehicle driven by Denise Gradilla, 22, Chicago, was making a left turn into a private drive when it struck a vehicle driven by Matthew Pennington, 26, Chanute. No injuries were reported.

• 4:19 p.m. Friday, K-68 and Eisenhower Road, a 2006 Dodge Ram driven by a 17-year-old Ottawa girl was westbound on K-68 when it struck a northbound 2007 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Janice Gregg, 67, Ottawa, according to a sheriff’s report. Both drivers were transported to Ransom Memorial Health, 1301 S. Main St., for treatment of possible injuries, the report said.

• 3:20 a.m. Sunday, 700 block of South Sycamore Street, a 23-year-old woman reported being the victim of aggravated domestic battery and criminal restraint by a known suspect. The case is under investigation.

• 1:26 p.m. Sunday, Ottawa Police Department, 715 W. Second St., a 24-year-old Ottawa woman reported abuse of a child. Case is under investigation.

Thefts

• 9:03 p.m. Friday, Casey’s General Store, 334 N. Main St., a 45-year-old woman reported an unknown subject stole fuel and left without paying.

• 3:29 a.m. Sunday, Gerken Rental, 120 E. 15th St., a 38-year-old Paola man reported unknown subjects damaged and stole property from the business.

• 7:08 a.m. Sunday, 700 block of South Locust Street, a 46-year-old Ottawa woman reported the theft of property by an unknown subject. Case is under investigation.
