Topeka police were investigating a pair of recent aggravated burglaries in which hundreds of dollars in property was stolen.
A 52-year-old Topeka man reported an aggravated burglary between 1 and 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, at his residence in the 3100 block of S.E. Humboldt. Among items stolen were a black, 55-inch LG television listed at $1,200; a black, 32-inch Vizio television valued at $250; a black laptop computer listed at $450; and a black HP laptop listed at $400. The total loss was listed at $2,300.
A 33-year-old Topeka man reported he was the victim of an aggravated burglary and theft between 10:15 and 10:20 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at his home in the 500 block of N.E. Gordon. A wallet valued at $40 was among the items reported stolen, as was a piece of men's clothing valued at $20. Also stolen were various cards and a driver's license. The total loss was listed at $362.
An aggravated burglary occurs when someone breaks into a residence that is occupied at the time.

Menard's, 6401 S.W. 17th, reported the theft of miscellaneous knives and a portable phone charger between 7 and 7:40 p.m. Friday, March 23. The knives were valued at $95 and the phone charger was listed at $20, for a total loss of $115.
Family Dollar, 1313 S.W. 21st, reported the theft of two bags of potato chips valued at $7 and a package of Little Debbie honey buns worth $2 between 8:08 and 8:26 p.m. Saturday, March 24. The total loss was $9.
A 57-year-old Eskridge man reported the theft of a 2011 white Chevrolet Silverado valued at $9,000 between 1 and 11:45 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at S.E. 21st and California Avenue.
A 20-year-old Topeka man reported the theft of a 2009 Pontiac G8 car between 11 p.m. Friday, March 23, and 12:02 a.m. Saturday, March 24, from the 3500 block of S.W. 29th. The car's value was listed at $12,500. A set of keys valued at $1 also was reported stolen.
Walgreens, 1001 S.W. Topeka Blvd., reported the theft of $100 in cash between 4:19 and 4:24 p.m. Saturday, March 24.
A 62-year-old Topeka man reported someone broke into his 2004 Ford Taurus and made off with a Macbook laptop valued at $1,300, a recreational football valued at $1 and a duffel bag valued at $1. The driver's side window also was damaged to the tune of $190. The total loss was listed at $1,492.
Family Video, 1401 S.W. Gage, reported the theft of six DVDs valued at $192 between 8:50 and 8:54 p.m. Friday, March 23.
Roach's Hardware, 1321 S.W. 21st, reported the theft of five bags of grass seed valued at $75 between 7:45 and 7:55 p.m. Friday, March 23.
A 54-year-old Topeka woman reported a burglary and theft of property between 4:13 and 4:19 p.m. Friday, March 23, from the 1500 block of S.W. 16th. Stolen items included a power washer valued at $100; a 20-foot ladder worth $500; and miscellaneous tools listed at $200. A fence also sustained $400 in damage. The total loss was listed at $1,175.
