Jacob Rein captured four gold medals at the Keith Blide Track Meet including one in the triple jump where he broke the meet record with a leap of 44'1".

The Spearville Invitational Track Meet, starting with some high lights of St. John’s Keith Blide Track Meet.

The Macksville boys finished fourth with 75 points in the Keith Blide Track Meet on Monday.

Jacob Rein took golds in the 100 and 200 Meters Dashes, the Long Jump, and broke the Meet Record in the Triple Jump with a jump of 44’1”, that was set by Shane Wiesbroad’s 19 years ago. This was also a Macksville’s school record, breaking Brett Rolo’s of 43’7”.

Getting the silver was Harley Blaske in the 300 Meter Hurdles.

Willie Penner took the bronze in the Discus Throw.

The Macksville Girls tied with Lacrosse at Blide for third with 75 points.

Jacquelin Galan took the silver in the Triple Jump, and the Bronze in the 100 Meter Dash. Also taking the bronze was Itzel Garcia placing third in the 1600 Meters, along with Serena Blaske in the Shot Put. Getting more bronzes were the 4x100 Meter Relay, comprised of BrayLynn Anshutz, Elena Kuckelman, Galan, and Jennifer Ortis.

At the Spearville Meet a week ago last Monday, once again Rein added three more golds, one in the Long Jump, another in the 200 Meter Dash and a third gold in the Triple Jump. Blaske took the gold in the 300 Meter Hurdles.

Getting the bronze medals (no silvers given) were Rein in the 100 Meter Dash, Blaske in the 110 Meter Hurdles, and the 4x100 Meter Relay, comprised of Blaske, Darien Miller, Zane Johnson and Trevor Freeman.

The Lady Stangs’ Itzel Garcia was the high vote getter, receiving the silver in the 3200 Meter Run. The bronze medals went to Jacquenlin Galan in the Triple Jump and the 100 Meter Dash. The Lady Stangs had two Relays getting the bronze. First it was the 4X800 Meter, comprised of Jennifer Ortiz, BrayLynn Anshutz, Lexie Wright, and Garcia. The other bronze relay was the 4x400 Meter, comprised of Elena Kuckelman, Anshutz, Wright and Ortiz.

Serena Blaske got the fourth place medal in the Discus Throw and Galan in the 200 Meter Dash.
