The St. John-Hudson 1998 State Track champions were honored at the State Track Meet for 20-year-old records in the 4x100 relay and the long jump.

The St. John-Hudson track team of 1998 was honored during the Kansas State High School Track Meet held at Wichita State's Cessna Stadium on Saturday May 26. A team who’s 4x100 Meter Relay holds the State 2A record for the last 20 years with a time of 43.10. Team members are Tim Bowden, Matt Gunter, Shane Weiszbrood and Shawn Rixon. Joining them were there teammates Tyler Alpers, Jonathan Hula, Paul Jenson, Kyle Munz and Ian Norrse.

They not only were they State 2A Champions, but also State Indoor Champions.

Weiszbrood also holds the 2A State record for twenty years in the Long Jump, with a jump of 23’7”, a feat that is unlikely to be broken.
