The St. John Boy Scout Pack 354 will be collecting canned good items for a food drive Friday, Aug. 27.
Christina Halling said the troops will start collecting around 6 p.m.
“If residents are not going to be home, they can leave the items on the front porch,” she said.
Pack 354 is the new Boy Scout organization that started in St. John this past January.
The group has various age groups and scouting levels for interested children in the area.
The scouts are currently working on a couple of community involvement programs with the food drive being their latest endeavor.
The scouts are asking for canned goods only during Friday’s drive.
“All this (food) will stay in the town of St. John,” said Halling.
