We’re not really betting folks but we would bet you that there’s no one that doesn’t love roast beef - especially when it comes with cheese potatos, green beans, bread, a drink and pie. The meal begins at 5 pm and goes until there’s no one left to feed. Bring your friends and family and your free will donation which will be taken for the church missions.
Kenwood Plaza Annual Soup Supper, St. John: Saturday, Nov. 19, 4 pm to 7 pm
If you’ve never had the opportunity to eat at Kenwood Plaza, you don’t know what you’re missing. They are offering up an array of soup that will warm your bones - as well as warm your heart as you share your meal with some of the nicest folks around. For only $5, you’ll not only have a hearty meal, you’ll be contributing to the Kenwood Christmas Fund which goes directly to the residents for their Christmas gifts and holiday decorations. ‘Tis the season to share, so share yourself and have a great time!

The St. John Ministerial Alliance will hold their special service of thanks with area pastors and Rev. Jim Lakey bring the message along with Fellowship afterward. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Sunflower Senior Craft Day, Thursday, Nov. 17, 1 pm to 3 pm, Witt Community Center, St. John Feeling crafty? This is your time then to gather, enjoy fellowship and crafts. Bring your ideas of items to do or enjoy the ones presented. Whether it be crocheting, knitting, cutting, guing, sewing...all possibilities are possible.
After-School Craft Day, Thursday, Nov. 17, 3:25 - 4:25 pm, Witt Community Center, St. John Items being used will be feathers, construction paper, 1/2 styrofoam ball and other items as needed. Can you guess what you’ll be making?? Register at 549-6549.
Potato Drop, Sat. Nov. 19, 1 pm - 2 pm, Cherry Lane Apts parking lot, 1st Street, St. John Two hundred pounds of potatoes will be distributed courtesy of Second Mile Food Pantry and the First United Methodist Church. Bring your own sacks and pick up 5 pounds for yourself - first come, first served. Aside from feeding you, the goal is to educate you about hunger and the amount of perfectly edible food that goes to waste in America. More about this project can be found at www.endhunger.org

Casino or Mall Shopping in Dodge City, Wed., Nov. 30, 8 am to 4 pm You’ll hit the casino from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm or go to the mall from 10 am to noon. Book now as it’s the last trip this year. $10
