USDA Rural Development Area Director Richard Boyles announced today that the Agency will host an informational meeting on February 26th in McPherson covering USDA’s business, community facilities, housing, and water and environmental loan and grant programs. The meeting, co-hosted by McPherson Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Tres Amigo’s Mexican Restaurant and will be open to the public.
“Rural Kansas communities need good planning and strong partnerships to prosper. Rural residents need affordable housing, and essential community facilities such as heath care. Rural workers need good jobs and rural businesses need economic stimulus to compete in a rapidly changing marketplace. USDA Rural Development is committed, through the Agency’s programs and its expanding network of partnerships, to assist Kansas to achieve these important community and economic development goals”, commented Area Director Boyles.
The USDA Rural Development Program informational meeting will be held at: McPherson / February 26, 2010: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tres Amigo’s Mexican Restaurant, 121 West Marlin, McPherson.
The conference will specifically cover the Agency’s business and industry guaranteed loan program, community facility loan and grant program, single family housing programs, and water and environmental loan and grant programs.
