Four St. John students received individual awards at the 30th Annual Academic Olympics on Monday, February 23, hosted by Pratt Community College, Pratt campus.

The day began with a brief assembly and was followed with three contest periods.  After lunch an Awards Ceremony was held announcing the winners in each academic category as well as the top schools.

CONGRATULATION to the following St. John High School students who received individual academic awards:

Nikolaus Boyle, Current Events, First Place

Bryan Figger, Ag. Mechanics, Second Place

Dace mercer, Business Math, Second Place

Dace Mercer, General Business, Fourth Place

Chosen to take individual academic tests by their classroom teachers, the following St. John High School students took part in the Olympics:

Seniors:  Tori Astle, Nikolaus Boyle, Grant Fisher, Omar Herrera, Emma Olivier, Brenda Ramirez, Amanda Roach, Kaylee Rose, Aaron Spare, Destiny Wendland and Pam Watson;

 Juniors:  Brandon Blakeslee, Bryan Figger, Amber Jones, Nathan Kenworthy, Chris King, Daulton Kirby, Ava Long, Dace Mercer, Kevin Norton, Sara Waters, Daniele Wendland and Betsy Williamson;

Sophomores:  Jacob Blunt, Jayton Burns, Jacob Falk, Jeffrey Gleason, Christa Milton, Billy Milton, Sara Steinman, Sidney Tucker and Janny Valadez

Freshmen:  Ethan Allen, Kris Boyle, Rhian Collins, Shelby Davis, Tiffany Heaton, Jamie Waters

Darlene Behnke, Art Instructor; Paula Morris, Gifted Consultant; and Marilyn Haynes, School Counselor, accompanied the students to Pratt.
