While unseasonably high temperatures over the weekend and into Monday brought many to outdoor activities, the St. John junior high school band brought music to the city park with an outdoor class session, Monday.
“It's so nice out, I just had to bring the junior high band to the square to practice our music outside for a change,” said USD 350 band instructor, Christy Taylor.
While the band played outside, others enjoyed different activities. A family on horseback strolled along the east side of the square, and parking lots at many businesses seemed a little emptier as many headed for the golf course, other other outdoor activities.
The midwest part of the state experienced much above normal temperatures over the weekend and into the beginning of the week, but forecasters call for possible rain and falling temps later in the week.
