The Count Your Kid In free (interagency) preschool screenings will be held on Friday, March 5, at the Church of Christ - 419 N. Main Street in Stafford from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and at the Church of Christ - 609 N. Pearl Street, St. John from 11:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
These screens are joint sponsored by South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative, Stafford County Health Department, Sunflower Early Education Center, Head Start-Kansas Children’s Service League and Parents as Teachers.
These screens are for all of Stafford County and include the school districts of Stafford (USD 349), St. John-Hudson (USD 350) and Macksville (USD 351).
The screenings are offered for children ranging in ages from birth to five years old. Areas screened will be motor, concepts, communication, social and self-help development, vision, hearing, health and/or nutrition.
Head Start personnel will be abilable to assist families with Head Start applications and enrollment information.
