Community-Wide Garage sale, St. John:  Saturday, April 2,  8 am until 2 pm, throughout St. John

Get your money and your walking shoes - this is the sale to end all sales! The new annual event in St. John is the community is one you can participate in a couple of ways:  Be a  Seller!  If you missed the deadline to get your sale on the map that will be distributed free of charge - no worry - just pull your items out - decorate with signs or balloons or have music playing - make your sale worth stopping at and make it visible!!  Or be a Buyer!:  There are so many things to choose from such as garden implements, roto-tillers, freezers, christmas decor (it's never too early to stock up on these things), clothing, toys, jewelry, furniture, antiques, glassware, maternity clothing, car parts and accessories and a heck of a lot more.

Maps will be available at the News, the Bank, Dillon’s, the Post Office, and posted on Facebook for you to download and print.

Last year was great - lots of money was made by the sellers and buyers had a smorgasbord of items to choose from ranging from antiques and collectibles, clothing, motorcycles, linens, oil paintings, baked goods, furniture and on and on.  Mark your calendar!

And don't forget as you're meandering around town to stop and grab yourself a quick bite at the restaraunts or refresh yourself with a soda from the grocery store or quick mart and maybe even take a look at some of the homes for sale in the area. You'll see that St. John has wonderful banks and insurance offices, plenty of contractors for your building and remodeling or maintenance needs, car dealers, thrift shops and the best newspaper in the county.  Okay, we're biased but we hope whatever you do - you enjoy your day!

Fresh Baked Yummies Sale, St. John:  Saturday, April 2,  8 am until gone, St. John National Bank

Bless those folks at the St. John National Bank for making ALL of the best home made pies, cakes, casseroles, dips and anything they get the yen to do.  This year during the Community Wide Garage sale, they’ll be selling off their goodies with the proceeds going to the Derek Grabast Fund.  Now, these folks do this from their own hearts and their own wallets.  They don't have to.  They want to.  So please, support them and you’re helping Derek get the treatment he desperately needs. Thank you to all of the cooks for the skills and their compassion.
