Open Reception is Sunday, Jan. 9 from 1 pm to 3 pm

Go see the talents of two extraordinary ceramic artists:  Carol Long who uses a myriad of techniques such as throwing, hand building, extruding, sliptrailing along with texturizing staining and glazing, to create her unique designs and Marko Fields, who describes himself as a ceramist that utilizes other materials such as fabricated or cast metallic elements within the ceramic form.

Gallery house are M-F, 10 am to 5 pm, closed Saturday, open Sunday, 1 pm to 4 pm. (620) 792-9342 for group tours or holiday hours or visit www.gallery.bartonccc.edu.  Admission is FREE.

A provocative and wholly unique hybrid of dance, theatre and music, FELA! explores the world of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Winner of three 2010 Tony Awards including Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones).

Using his pioneering music (a blend of jazz, funk and African rhythm and harmonies), FELA! reveals Kuti’s controversial life as an artist and political activist.
