There's some great girls basketball match-ups coming up this week, starting with Berean Academy's basketball tournament featuring some of the top small teams in the state - the 3rd ranked in IIA and undefeated Berean Academy warriors, the 4th ranked in 1A (Div II) Hutchinson Central Christian Celtics and Wichita's “Word of Life” Fire - all three playing in the semi-finals this Thursday.
Not forgetting to mention the SPAA-IAA tournament in Dodge, featuring the undefeated, #1 ranked in 1A (Div. II) Ingalls Bulldogs pitted against the 4th ranked in 1A (Div I) South Central Timberwolves and the 7th ranked in 1A (Div.I ) Spearville Lancers.
Of Special notice, if both South Central and the #1 in 1A (Div. I) St. John Lady Tigers win their first game in substate, they may well be matched up against each other at Coldwater's substate, the winner going on to State.
