Bill Hale, age 89, died Oct. 29, 2011 at his home. He was born Sept. 1, 1922 in Ada, Okla., the son of Harod and Louella Ely. He was an actor in the motion picture industry and served his country in the U. S. Army. He married Gladys (Ward), she survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Bobby Hale, of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Georgeann Furtado, Los Banos, Calif., Melody Burkhart, Pa.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Monte Hale, Budy Ely and Bob Ely.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, with visitation on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, 526 E. 4th St., St. John.
