STAFFORD, Kan. - Diana Emily Litchfield Cooley Dodge, age 60, died January 9, 2010 after a two year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She was born Nov. 21, 1949 in Stafford, the third child of Floyd J. and V. Maxine Hill Litchfield. She worked as a CNA/CMA at various places in Colorado, Montana, Washington, Texas and Kansas. She loved working with the elderly and they loved her and her caring ways.
On Nov.21, 1968, she married Howard Cooley in Ft. Collins, Colo. On Oct. 19, 1980, she married Eugene E. Dodge in Ft. Collins, Colo. He survives.
Other survivors include her children: Erin Cooley and her husband Rob Johnson of Cottonwood, Calif., Erika Cooley and her husband Thomas Olsen of Asker, Norway, Ethan Cooley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Stepsons Jason and Rose Schuh-Dodge and Joshua Dodge, both of Rochester, Minn, eight grandchildren - whom she adored - sisters Judy Clarkson and her husband Gary of Assaria, Robin Kocher of Stafford and Angela DeFelice and her husband Brian of Ft. Collins, Colo, brother James Litchfield and his wife Joyce of Ft. Collins, Colo., and many nieces and nephews.
At her request, her body will be donated to science.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Feb. 6 at the Church of Christ in Stafford.
Memorials may be sent to the A.L.S. Association or South Wind Hospice in care of Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
