OBITUARY: Nancy K. Ginest 1940 - 2010

Nancy K. Ginest, age 69, died August 12, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita. She was born Nov. 17, 1940 at Hudson, the daughter of Louie and Alta (Beck) Ginest.

She graduated from Hudson High School and Wichita Business School. A life-long resident of Stafford County, she was a retired rural mail carrier for 27 years and also worked at Marmie Ford, Farm Bureau, Para at Hudson Middle School and Travelers Motor Club, all of St. John, and Scheufler’s in Great Bend. Memberships include EUB New Hope  Church, Red Hats Society and Girl Scout Leader of St. John.

Survivors include a brother, Bob Ginest of Kingstown, Okla.; six nephews and two nieces; a soul mate cousin Butch and wife Joanie Ginest, Wichita; adopted family Ken and Jan Parten, St. John; Kim and Jim Sallee, West Point, Miss.; Linda and late husband Bill Parten, Mandy and Brian McMurdo, Tyler and Faith, Tyson and Kristi Parten, all of Kimberling City, Mo.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 15 at the funeral home with graveside service following at 4 p.m. at Fairview Park Cemetery with Jim Sallee presiding.

Memorials may be given to the Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library in care of Minnis Chapel, P. O. Box 34, St. John, Kansas 67576
