MACKSVILLE, Kan. - Edward Eugene “Shorty” Gibson, age 72, died Jan. 28, 2010 at Leisure Homestead, St. John. Born Aug. 31, 1937 in Zook to Arthur F. and Lillie M. (Tacker) Gibson.
An automotive mechanic and resident of Macksville since 1990, Gibson was a U. S. Army Veteran of Vietnam 1954-1977 and a member of American Legion Post #0052, DAV and Assembly of God, Pratt.
Survivors include sons Richard and Terry Gibson and Jason West; daughters Lorri Turnbough, Corrina English and Cari Gibson; brother Wilbur Gibson; sister Sarah Smith; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Harold and sister Evelyn Willinger.
Memorial service will be at a later date.
