Obituary Donald G. Waters 1933 - 2010

MACKSVILLE - Donald G. Waters, age 76 of Rural Macksville, died Feb. 21, 2010 at his farm home. Born July 28, 1933 in Rural Macksville, the son of Charles N. and Nellie E. (Jordan) Waters. 

A farmer and lifelong resident of Stafford County, he graduated from Macksville High School in 1951, attended two years at Hutch JUCO, two years at Fort Hays State University, and was in the U.S. Army 1957-59. Memberships include the American Legion Macksville, Richland Township Board and Dillwyn Elevator Board.

On June 13, 1959 he married Margaret (Gales) at Belpre, she survives of the home.  Other survivors include: 3 sons-Eric Waters & wife Rebecca, Macksville, Troy Waters & wife Lola, Macksville, Ryan Waters, Pratt; 3 grandchildren-Derek, Kevin & Matthew Waters. Preceded in death by a brother Richard.

Funeral was held February 25, at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Rodney Lyons presiding. Burial at Neeland’s cemetery. 

Memorials may be given to the American Legion of Macksville or the Ks. Dialysis Assoc., both in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, Kansas  67576.
