As a concerned citizen, I want to voice some concerns I have about our county hospital.
I worked in this hospital for many years and it is a wonderful hospital. We are very fortunate to have it in our community and in our county.
More than once the doctors and nurses have saved a family members life by stabilizing them until they could be sent on to a hospital who could then given them further treatment. Because of the treatment given in the Stafford County Hospital, my family has been given a second chance at life. I know this first hand as I have on more than one occasion followed an ambulance that carried a loved one.
The nursing staff here is among the best and they truly care about the patient and the family. The care they give is wonderful. They are also very professional. We also have a great lab with professional technicians.
One of our lab technicians left our hospital after being here for many years. I along with many others are concerned about this.
I have read the brochure from the hospital and was pleased with all of the services offered, but I am very concerned that Dr. Farmer and Jill Burbank name was not listed on the Practitioner’s Directory. Only Dr. Bauer and Brenda Mercer’s name was listed. This leads me to believe that there are some very serious problems with the leadership of our hospital. This hospital employs 60 some people and this is truly important for the economy in our county.
I love this hospital, the nurses, doctors and many others on staff. I hope our hospital board truly cares about the welfare of all of us who entrust our lives and to this hospital.
