St. John Macksville results from Meade Invitational

The Macksville Mustang boys team pulled a third place finish at the Meade Invitational while their girls claimed a fifth and St. John pulled seventh from both genders.

The Mustang boys scored 100 points in Friday’s meet with Ashland claiming the top spot with 136 points.

Leading the boys was Marc Renfro, and Adam Oak.

Renfro picked up 10 points with a first place finish in the 110-meter hurdles. Oak placed third in the same event for eight points.

Oak and Renfro swapped places in the 300-meter hurdle with Oak claiming first and Renfro placing second.

The Mustangs took a first in the 4x100 relay throwers team of Dakota Allison, Clark Greene, Derek Bevan and Kyle Bunker.

In the 4x100 meterRenfro, Oak, Evan Loomis and Guerro Lopez claimed second.

Evan Loomis had the second longest throw in discus with a distance of 136’10.

St. John had two firsts with Kinser Crissman winning the triple jump with a distance of 39’9.5. Corey Morris won the pole vault with a height of 9’. Macksville’s Richard Petty claimed fourth at 8’6.

In girls action the Lady Mustangs finished fifth with 60 points. Cimarron won first with 104 points. St John’s Lady Tigers came in seventh in team totals with 46.5 points.

Teresa Wade claimed two firsts for the Tigers winning the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.91 and the shot put with a distance of 34’04.5, an inch and a half father than second place Jerrica Cronin from South Central.

St. John’s Danielle Wendland, Megan Wood, Macksville and Jessi Lamberth, Fowler battled it out in the 400-meter dash in one of the closest finishes of the day.

Lamberth won the race with a time of 1.04.52. Wendland placed second at 1.04.80 and Wood crossed just over a tenth of a second later at 1.04.92.

Keira parr grabbed eight points for the Lady Mustnags placing second in the 100-meter dash at 13.30. The winning time was posted by Brittany Marceau, Meade at 12.95.
