A one-vehicle rollover accident on Aug. 19 claimed the life of 51-year-old Marvin Juliian and injured 13-year-old Mason Julian, both of Stafford.
A one-vehicle accident in Stafford County has claimed the life of a Stafford man. Killed in the Aug. 19 wreck was 51-year-old Marvin Julian of Stafford. Injured in the accident was 13-year-old Mason Julian also of Stafford.
Marvin Julian was southbound at a high rate of speed on SE 70th Avenue about 0.2 miles south of SE 60th Street in a 1998 GMC Yukon when the vehicle hit a patch of water on the roadway and Julian lost control. The Yukon went off the road into a sandy field where it rolled over five times before coming to a stop on the roadway facing northwest, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol online crash logs.
Julian was transported to Stafford County Hospital where he died. Mason Julain was transported to Wesley Medical Center. Neither were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident that was reported at 8:35 p.m. and was six miles south and one mile west of Stafford.
