Meet the cast of Beauty and the Beast during a pre-show tea party in Haviland on April 12.

The campus of Barclay College in Haviland is buzzing with excitement for the upcoming musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. A new event creating excitement is Belle’s Tea Party. Friday, April 12 at 4 p.m. all are invited to come drink tea, eat  sweet morsels and take pictures with Belle and the Beast and others from the musical cast.
The idea originated as a fun event for mothers and daughters looking for a fun event to attend, and for little girls to dress up as their favorite princess and meet Belle. From that it morphed into an opportunity out for mothers or fathers, boys or girls to dress up as their favorite princess, superhero, or knight. The cast of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will be serving and interacting with the guests. Tea Party goers will receive a souvenir cup, a rose, a picture with Belle and the Beast in the Castle and a  sneak peek backstage.
“I’m so excited about the tea party! It’s such a great opportunity to reach out to children and make their dreams come true,” said Haviland native Natalie Stewart, who plays Belle.
