PRATT — Michael Joseph Orler, Jr., 50, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Pratt Regional Medical Center.  He was born February 15, 1969 in Columbus, Kansas to Michael Joseph Orler, Sr. and Frieda (Lapee) Whitecotton. He married NaKol Ann (Tripp) Orler on October 14, 1994 in Lyons. She survives.

Mike worked as a Rancher. He served as assistant chief of the Byers Fire Department, was a previous Skyline Booster Club Member, was on the Pratt County Fair Association, Kansas Trappers Association and Kansas Livestock Association. He was involved with the 4-H Youth Activities, loved hunting, fishing, trapping, making knives, riding horses and rodeos and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, NaKol; daughters, Angel (Joey) Brown of Marionville, Missouri, Chyenne (fiance’, Kevin Woods) Orler of Haviland, Charytee (Timothy) Collins of Commerce, Oklahoma, MaKala (James) Fitzsimmons of Cunningham and Payje (fiance’, Rustin Dymond) Orler of Haven; mother, Frieda Lapee Whitecotton of Columbus; siblings, Robert Lapee of Columbus, Johna (Donald) Pillars of Columbus, Ywain (Pam) Orler of Welch, Oklahoma and Lisa Ballard of Lebanon, Missouri; and 14 grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Joseph Orler, Sr. and infant brother, Phillip Whitecotton.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2019 at Pratt County 4-H Building, 81 Lake Road, Pratt with Marvin Ewertt presiding. Burial will follow at Neeland Cemetery, Rural Stafford County.
