Danny Lee Roland
Danny Lee Roland, 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Park City, Kansas at his home. He was born in El Dorado, Kansas to Gail and Myrtle Roland on December 24, 1953. He was a long-life resident of Park City, Kansas.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and as a mechanic in Fort Greely, Alaska. Returning home to Park City in 1980, he worked as a mechanic and welder for Raymond Oil, Clearwater Trucking, Lee's Trash Service and Wichita Waste Management until retiring in 2019.
He is survived by his wife: Trella (Konkel) Roland, son: Matthew, daughter: Shannon, sisters: Betty, and Glenda.
Dan loved to go fishing any time he got the chance, it didn't even matter if it was raining. He enjoyed tinkering with machinery, cars, trucks, tractors and lawn mowers. One could always count on Dan to tell a joke or share a story. He was also as an avid coin collector.
Visitation will be June 25th, at 9:00 with the service following at 10:00 at Baker Funeral Home 100 S. Cedar, in Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family in care of Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center, Kansas.
