St. John - Anita Gail Meier, 65, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at KU Med in Kansas City. She was born April 12, 1956 in Joplin, Missouri and later adopted by Benny and Pauline (Russell) Sallee. Anita married Marvin D. Meier on September 23, 1974. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1995.

Anita enjoyed animals and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri (Shane) Rose of Haviland; son, Jeff (Kelly) Meier of Haysville; six grandchildren, Zackary (Maddi) Rose of Haviland, Mackenzie (Walker Schrag) Rose of Derby, Kimberley (Matt) Gerstenkorn of Derby, Kellie Bottomley of Haysville, Matthew Klingforth of Haysville and Karlee Meier of Haysville; five great-grandchildren, Iris and Ivy Rose, Brinnley and Rhetson Schrag and Leo Gerstenkorn; and brother, Howard (Betty) Sallee of Waterloo, Ilinois.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; great-granddaughter, Violet Jayde Rose; and other siblings.

Cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration at a later time.
