Mary Jane Schweitzer, 94, Sterling, passed away Jan. 3, 2021

STERLING—Mary Jane Schweitzer, 94, of Sterling passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Sterling.  Private services will be held at Riverside Cemetery.

Mary was born on May 27, 1926 in Franklin, Kansas to John Henry and Jenny Lynn (Lane) Tolliver.  She graduated from Arma High School in Arma, Kans.  She married Leo C. Schweitzer on October 29, 1949.  She was a mother and a housewife; and later in life she worked as a Playground Monitor at Sixth Street Elementary School. 

Mary is survived by son Mark Schweitzer; son Bruce (Patricia) Schweitzer; granddaughter Danyel Cullip and great-grandchildren Abigail and Rylee Cullip; granddaughter Ricci (Andrew) Dreier and great-granddaughter Addison; grandson Travis (Ashley) Schweitzer and great-grandchildren Lucca and Kimber Schweitzer; daughter Darlene (Duane) Schweitzer; grandson Greg Lenz and great-granddaughter Camryn Lenz; grandson Nick (Clystia) Lenz and great-granddaughter Cambria Lenz.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Schweitzer; parents John and Jenny Tolliver; brothers Herb, Don, Harry, Bob, and Edward Tolliver; sister Wanda Rheums.
